MASH (NASH) Cirrhosis Research Study
About This Opportunity
This study is looking at an investigational injectable medication for cirrhosis due to metabolic dysfunction-associated steatohepatitis (MASH), also called nonalcoholic steatohepatitis (NASH). Participants receive weekly doses of either the study medication or a placebo for up to 4.5 years, and participation may last longer than that. Study procedures may include a liver biopsy, MRIs, FibroScans, upper endoscopies, abdominal ultrasounds and blood collection, with visit intervals that vary over time and some visits possibly done remotely where local regulations allow. Trial-related procedures and study medication are provided at no cost, and participants may be reimbursed for reasonable travel, parking, meals and other visit-related expenses.
Qualifications:
- Must have been told by physician that you may have cirrhosis of the liver
- Cannot have more than 10 alcoholic beverages/week
- Cannot have had weight loss surgery in the past five years
